QUICK TIP FOR ADDING DIMENSION TO YOUR FLOWER DIE-CUT ACCENTS

Quick tip for adding dimension to your die-cut flower accents. Take the coordinating dark Stampin Blend and add a dot of color to the tip of your die-cut. Now you don’t have a boring die-cut.

Now start your crafting.

YOUR FRIENDSHIP IS A BLESSING

This sentiment, Your Friendship Is a Blessing is perfect for most of my friendships. As we grow wiser, we tend to surround ourselves with those who lift us, which is truly a blessing. So this beautiful card is for all of you, my little blessings. Love you!

I enjoy showcasing the beautiful paper from Stampin’ Up! To create the sentiment layers, ink up your sentiment stamp with Highland Heather ink and stamp it off once onto scrap paper. Next, color the word “friendship” with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin Write Marker. After huffing into the colored stamp, stamp the image onto the Whisper White die-cut in the lower-left corner.

Using dimensionals, attach the stamped Whisper White die-cut to the Blackberry Bliss die-cut piece.

To add some decorative flair, start by cutting a piece of ribbon and trimming the edges neatly. Fold the ribbon in half and securely fasten it to the center of the left side of the Blackberry Bliss die-cut using a staple. Finally, attach these layers to the center of the cardbase using dimensionals.

Cut out your flower from the DSP, cutting off the leaves entirely from the left side and set them aside since you will still be using these; leave the set of leaves attached on the right side. Place the flower in the upper right corner above the sentiment using dimensionals, then glue the leaves to the left side of the flower.

The colors in this Designer Series Paper (DSP) are absolutely stunning. I will definitely be creating more cards using this gorgeous Best Dressed DSP.

LOVELY DAY FEB 20 PAPER PUMPKIN

Are you someone who is still trying to understand why you would need to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin? Well, I am going to show what you are missing out on. Every Month after I receive my Paper Pumpkin Kit, I will make samples of the projects as the designers intended, then I will come up with an alternative project using the items from the kit.

In the pictures above, you can see the supplies included in the kit, along with a sample of the intended projects made per the instructions included. By the way, the rose gold foil foam word stickers are stunning! The coordinating colors for this kit are Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose, and Old Olive.

Below are the alternate designs I created using the supplies included in the kit, along with a few additional supplies I had on hand.

In this celebrate card, I used the same die-cut piece as the example, but I cut a strip off below the scalloped circle opening as my card layer. Then I used the centerpiece you punch out of the scalloped circle and stamped celebrate using Pool Party ink in a continuous pattern all the way down the circle. I glued down the banner I fussy cut from the die-cut sheet. I stamped the cake image onto white scraps in Rococo Rose and colored the image using Rococo Rose, Pool Party, Petal Pink, and Crumb Cake Stampin Blends. I just love how the cake image has a muted look to it.  I then added the foil foam sticker and finished it off with some sequins!

This little beauty was the quickest card I made this weekend. I stamped the large flower image all over the Petal Pink Flap in Rococo Rose ink. I took the die-cut flower and fussy cut off the leaves and popped up the flower using dimensionals, then glued the leaves just under the edge of the flower in the same place they were cut off from. For the sentiment, I stamped the birthday in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a scrap piece of paper and just used my scissors to cut the shape I wanted. I then added another foil foam sticker and finished it with the sequins.

For my last alternative project idea, I heat embossed the large flower image in white, then colored the image using Rich Razzleberry, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Stampin Blends. I also heat embossed the congratulations sentiment in the same white embossing powder and cut it out using my scissors. I felt the card needed a little more color than the green printed splotches in the background, so I added more of my own using Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, and because you can never have enough sparkle I used clear Wink of Stella as well.

Those are fun cards, right? I enjoyed coming up with new designs to show you what you can potentially make with your PPK. I am really looking forward to the March kit since it will be a special one.  This is Stampin’ Up!’s 7th anniversary for Paper Pumpkin!!!! To celebrate they are including a FREE additional stamp set in each March kit! Woohoo, I love free stuff, don’t you? All you need to do to get your free stamp set is to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin before March 10th, that’s it.

WATERCOLORING A BIT OF BIRTHDAY CAKE

Howdy! I am so happy with these cards, what do you think? The colors are so beautiful in each one and the watercolor background was the perfect touch to accent the birthday cake! This stamp set is called Happy Birthday To You and is part of the Sale-A-Bration products available for you to earn for free with an order of $50 through March 31st.

I started out by first stamping and coloring my cake images with my Stampin’ Blends (see below for a list of Stampin Blends used). Once I had them all colored and die cut I created the watercolor wash on the cake background suing re-inkers and an Aqua Painter. It really created a soft and subtle background, don’t you think? On the cardbase, I stamped the Happy Birthday image in a continuous pattern in two rows at the top and bottom. Then I added the DSP and wrapped the bakers twine around the DSP and tied a bow.

IT’S TACO TUESDAY!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are planning on getting your tacos today, if not then here is a cute little taco I created for you. I love the images in the Witty-cisims Stamp Set. Who wouldn’t love this Taco’ bout Awesome image?

My goal was to keep the colors in the card light and bright. I think I hit that on the nose. I used Granny Apple Green over Old Olive since it is a more vibrant shade of green (almost the color of iceberg lettuce). I also paired Daffodil Delight and Real Red.

As you can see in the picture above, I offset the Real Red & Daffodil Delight layers behind the taco image. When I was working on the layering for the taco, just stacking the layers like the normal look too blah, so I started to play with the layers and whala, we have a more interesting layout!

To create bakers twine in any color, all you need is a Stampin Blend in your desired color and a silicone crafting mat. Just run your Blends along the twine, making sure you are rotating the twine to color all sides. Let this dry for five minutes and it will be ready to use. I always make a little extra colored twine, then I wrap the twine around a small piece of coordinating cardstock to help me know which color it is.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help placing your order.
