ABOUT ME

Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name is Lori Skinner, and I live in Napa, California. I have been a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator since 2007. I love creating art, and I am blessed to have the privilege to share my creative passion with my friends and customers.

My life has taken me in many different directions. I have a background in banking, finance, non-profit management, and interior design.

I married the love of my life, Brian, in May 1996. We have three grown children, Matthew & Mark (twins) and Ciara.

My life has always been busy between the hubby (we know how much time they can need) and the kiddos. I have been very active in the special needs community for well over 25 years due to my boy’s disabilities. I was blessed to volunteer at numerous special needs events and spend hundreds of hours assisting in the special needs classroom environment. I worked as a Surrogate and Foster Parent representing several foster children with special needs at school meetings. I also served two years on an NISD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee and have volunteered as an assistant coach for the Special Olympics Area 20 / Best Friends Team. Also, I had the privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for an incredible organization called Eva’s Heroes for seven amazing years.

In between all of that, we have been hunting trains because of my daughter’s love of them. Many of our trips and vacations revolve around visiting trains and museums. At one point, she wanted to be a train engineer but decided to go into nursing instead.

As you can see, I have a wonderful and fulfilling life, and crafting keeps my sanity, and I would not have it any other way!
