Are you someone who is still trying to understand why you would need to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin? Well, I am going to show what you are missing out on. Every Month after I receive my Paper Pumpkin Kit, I will make samples of the projects as the designers intended, then I will come up with an alternative project using the items from the kit.

In the pictures above, you can see the supplies included in the kit, along with a sample of the intended projects made per the instructions included. By the way, the rose gold foil foam word stickers are stunning! The coordinating colors for this kit are Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose, and Old Olive.

Below are the alternate designs I created using the supplies included in the kit, along with a few additional supplies I had on hand.

In this celebrate card, I used the same die-cut piece as the example, but I cut a strip off below the scalloped circle opening as my card layer. Then I used the centerpiece you punch out of the scalloped circle and stamped celebrate using Pool Party ink in a continuous pattern all the way down the circle. I glued down the banner I fussy cut from the die-cut sheet. I stamped the cake image onto white scraps in Rococo Rose and colored the image using Rococo Rose, Pool Party, Petal Pink, and Crumb Cake Stampin Blends. I just love how the cake image has a muted look to it.  I then added the foil foam sticker and finished it off with some sequins!

This little beauty was the quickest card I made this weekend. I stamped the large flower image all over the Petal Pink Flap in Rococo Rose ink. I took the die-cut flower and fussy cut off the leaves and popped up the flower using dimensionals, then glued the leaves just under the edge of the flower in the same place they were cut off from. For the sentiment, I stamped the birthday in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a scrap piece of paper and just used my scissors to cut the shape I wanted. I then added another foil foam sticker and finished it with the sequins.

For my last alternative project idea, I heat embossed the large flower image in white, then colored the image using Rich Razzleberry, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Stampin Blends. I also heat embossed the congratulations sentiment in the same white embossing powder and cut it out using my scissors. I felt the card needed a little more color than the green printed splotches in the background, so I added more of my own using Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, and because you can never have enough sparkle I used clear Wink of Stella as well.

Those are fun cards, right? I enjoyed coming up with new designs to show you what you can potentially make with your PPK. I am really looking forward to the March kit since it will be a special one.  This is Stampin’ Up!’s 7th anniversary for Paper Pumpkin!!!!
