IT STARTS WITH ART THANK YOU GIFT

Wouldn’t you want to receive a cute thank-you gift like this set of note cards? The 2019-2021 In Colors are so beautiful. Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock are my favorites. Which color is your favorite?

I made these envelopes using the 6 x 6 19-21 In Color DSP Stack. I used two different patterns for each color: Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Terracotta Tile.

All eight cards and matching envelopes fit perfectly in the Mini Shipping Boxes from the Annual Catalog. I made a band to go around the box to hold the flaps closed. You can click on the Print Recipe below to see the full instructions on how I made this hostess gift. If you like this note card set and want to host a workshop, message me, and we can book your date.

CUTE COFFIN WREATH FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

I am so excited! Stampin’ Up! has released a video on their Facebook page showing us how to make the super cute coffin wreath on page 52 of the 2019 Holiday Catalog. I have been eyeballing that wreath, wondering how many packages of the cute Coffin Treat Boxes were needed to make it. Well, now I know: It takes 25 treat boxes, which is three packages. Here is a link to Stampin’ Up!’s Facebook video to see how they put it together.

If you have any questions about the video, shoot me an email.

BOO TO YOU

Hey Everyone! I am so in love with this Boo To You stamp set!!! Just look at those faces. At my grocery store, I found a bag of Mini Carnival Pops. They look just like the giant ones you can get at the candy store. The colors in the suckers were a perfect match for these projects.

For these holders, I just measured the sucker’s length and width and added a 1″ to the cardstock length, and went a 1/4″ for the depth. For the width, I measured the stamp image since my suckers were fairly small. You can make these for any candy you find by using the dimensions of the H & W & D. I wasn’t sure how I was going to hold the candy in place, then I thought why not go simple and use glue dots, It worked perfectly.

On the long side, score at 5 3/8″ & 5 5/8″

Using the coordinating ink for the cardstock, swipe ink over the raised pattern of the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Don’t cover it completely; you want it to be splotchy-looking. Lay one side of the cardstock onto the embossing folder and press the cardstock into ink.

Monster Cardstock Sizes:
2 1/2″ x 11″ Bermuda Bay
2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ Basic Black
2″ x 3″ Whisper White

Zombie Cardstock Sizes:
2 1/2″ x 11″ Granny Apple Green
2″ x 3 1/4″ Basic Black
1 1/4″ x 3″ Whisper White

Wolfman Cardstock Sizes:
2 5/8″ x 11″ Rich Razzleberry
2 3/8″ x 2 3/4″ Basic Black
2 1/8″ x 2 1/2″ Whisper White

Stamp the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Then color the images using the blends.

Zombie: Granny Apple Green, Night Of Navy, Soft Suede

Monster: Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Basic Black

Wolfman: Ivory, Bronze, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight

Once the image is colored, glue it to Basic Black cardstock, then adhere it to the card base using black dimensionals.

I used Mini Glue Dots to attach the sucker to the inside.

Don’t you love these sweet faces? This project is pretty fast and would make cute craft fair items or a project for your kids.

See you soon.

MEET MR. PUMPKIN HEAD

Hello Everyone! Don’t you love Mr. Pumpkin Head? I have another treat pouch for you to try using the Monster Bash Suite today.

Cardstock Sizes:
5″ x 11″ Spider Web Pattern from Monster Bash DSP
7/8″ x 2 3/4″ Pumpkin Pie
2 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ Basic Black for the smaller ornate frame

On the 5″ side, score at 5/8″, 1 1/8″, 3 7/8″ &
4 3/8″. Rotate and score at 2 3/4″, 3 1/4″, 7 3/4″ & 8 1/4″. Now you will need to remove the 1 1/8″ strip down to the 3 1/4″ score line (see picture of diagram). You will need to cut along the 1/2″ score line just to the same 1 1/8″ score lines on both sides, then remove to the first score line in the flap. You will be left with a 1/2″ tab, that will be the bottom edge of your pouch. Burnish all the score lines. Place the tear tape where indicated on the pattern.

When putting the pouch together, you will fold it up at the 2 3/4″ & 3 1/4″ score lines, making the bottom of the pouch. Now, taking on the tear tape backing off one side at a time, fold in the side flaps and adhere to the inside of the back flap to crate the pouch. Reach inside, tape the backing off the two smaller flaps, and stick to the inside edge.

Die cut the smaller ornate frame with the Basic Black card stock. Using your paper snips, fussy cut out the pumpkin from the Monster Bash DSP sheet, then cover the pumpkin with the Shimmery Crystal Effects and let dry. Depending on your climate, the Crystal Effects may take several hours to dry completely. Once the pumpkin is dry, you may adhere to the center of the black ornate frame using dimensionals. Glue the Pumpkin Pie strip to the bottom edge of the pouch flap. While holding the flap closed on the pouch, place a dimensional on the bottom panel of the pouch just below the flap; it should be about 1 5/8″ from the edge. Then, place the black ornate die piece on the dimensional. This is what will hold your pouch closed.

As I was typing this post, I just realized that this project did not require stamping. That is what is so nice about this Monster Bash DSP paper pack: You can make several projects on the go and not need to bring your ink pads.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Next, I will post a cute project using the Boo To You stamp set.

See you soon.

Happy Stamping!

TO MY GHOUL FRIENDS

Hello Everyone! I made this for a dear friend of mine who loves Halloween and reading. This book-patterned DSP from the Monster Bash pack is so easy to work with and made a perfect backdrop for my little spooky friend to come out of hiding.

Cardstock Sizes:
4 1/4″ x 11″ Basic Black scored at 5 1/2″ &
1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ for banner
5 1/4″ x 4″ book pattern DSP for card base layer
2″ x 4″ Crushed Curry scrolled pattern DSP for banner & 1″ x 5 1/4″ for inside of card
3 1/2″ x 2″ Terracotta Tile In-Color DSP for lg Ornate Frames Die
3″ x 1 1/4″ Whisper White for sentiment die piece
2″ x 1 1/4″ Whisper White for the mummy
(3) bottles cut from the DSP for the inside of the card

Glue the book-patterned DSP to the card base.

I stamped the mummy into the Whisper White cardstock using black ink. I used the Smoky Slate Blends to highlight the edges of the stamp set to give him some dimension. Then, I fussy-cut him out.

To make the banner, I punched the bottom edge of the 2″ x 4″ Crushed Curry scrolled pattern DSP & 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Basic Black cardstock. Then, I glued them together, ensuring they aligned at the top edge and centered at the bottom. Die cut the Terracotta Tile DSP and the Whisper White layer. Stamp the sentiment in Crushed Curry ink, then wipe off the Ghoul Friends with a rag and recolor with the black ink. I glued the mummy to the left side of the banner like he is peaking up at the sentiment. Glue down the Terracotta Tile ornate frame, then use dimensional to adhere to the sentiment. Place a black enamel dot at the tip of the S in friends. I used dimensionals to adhere the banner to the card base.

The bow on the sentiment is Linen Thread, which I colored with Terracotta Tile ink. I took a piece of the thread, wound it up, laid it on the ink pad, and gently pressed it into the ink. You can use a piece of plastic wrap to keep your fingers clean. Once I was satisfied with the color, I let it dry, then tied a bow and adhered it with a glue dot.

By coloring the Linen Thread with my ink, I can have any color I need. You can also die the Whisper White Bakers Twine and Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon the same way.

To finish the inside of the card, I placed a 1″ x 5 1/4″ DSP strip, cut out three bottles from the Monster Bash DSP, and glued them down.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card; leave me a note and let me know what you are making your friends.

Thanks for stopping by today, and see you soon.

Happy Stamping!
