When the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog was released in September, I fell in love with the frosted snowflakes pictured in the Feels Like Frost Suite on pages 40-42. The beautiful snowflakes were created by placing a light layer of the Shimmery Crystal Effects on your cardstock or image, sprinkling some Ice Stampin’ Glitter over the crystal effects, and then letting it dry. In the card below, I used this same technique on my pine tree and am so happy with the results!

In this close-up, you can really see how the tree looks like it has glistening frost on it. It was such an easy technique for achieving the wow factor.

When you use very little of the Shimmery Crystal Effects, as I did in this project, you don’t have nearly the drying time you would if you were completely covering the image, as I did in the last post. It takes just a few minutes to dry vs. several hours. You can find all the measurements needed to create this project HERE.
If you want to learn how to make cards like these, join me at my home for my monthly card classes. The classes are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
