Hello my fellow crafters, and welcome back. In this card, I was working with the ever beautiful Peaceful Poppies Suite. I call this style, #simple-ishstamping, since I used dimensionals and ribbon. For those of you who may not have heard of the Stampin’ Up!’s #simplestamping campaign, it is one of the ways we focus on new crafters and show them that cardmaking can be as easy—and fun—as they make it! Usually, the cards are only using paper, ink & stamps, which is why I call mine simple-ish stamping.
As I was typing up this blog post, I realized that this card used all DSP as well, except for the cardbase. The poppy isn’t stamped on Whisper White, it is stamped onto the center strip from the DSP sheet that has the big poppies on the bottom and top edges (see picture below for a better look).
I stamped the poppy image in Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored the image using Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I then stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss Ink, but you really can’t tell, so you can use black if you don’t have Blackberry Bliss. That is what is great about crafting if you don’t like a part of the project, then you can substitute another product that suits your tastes.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting!
