IT STARTS WITH ART FANCY FOLD

Hello Everyone! I have been waiting patiently to have time to play with the Follow Your Art Suite of products. Can I just say, I love, love, love the Stitched, Die-Cut Felt Embellishments, they are so much fun to play with. Today I have an It Starts With Art fancy fold card.

In this card I wanted to make a gate fold card, I always forget how quick and easy they are to make.

Paper Sizes:
8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – Calypso Coral Carstock,  scored at 2 1/8″ & 6 3/8″
3″ x 3 1/4″ – Calypso Coral Cardstock
2 3/4″ x 3″ – Whisper White Cardstock
1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ – (2) Follow Your Art DSP
4″ x 5 1/4″ – Whisper White Cardstock

When I created the color wash background for the Follow Your Art sentiment, I placed 2 drops of Coastal Cabana Reinker and 3 drops of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint onto an acrylic block. Using an Aqua Painter I mixed them together using the water in the Aqua Painter until you are happy with the color. Then I painted them on with the Aqua Painter in a side to side fashion until the Whisper White cardstock was covered completely and let dry.

The sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point and then re stamped with VersaMark Ink using my Stamparatus, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder to make it pop.

Assemble the elements and color the stamped image on the inside of the card.

This was a fast card to put together and would be great for making multiples. I was able to finish it all in 20 minutes. You could color wash a whole sheet of cardstock then cut it up to use on several cards. I will definitely be posting more projects from this suite soon.

Thanks for stopping by today and see you soon.

Happy Stamping!

WELCOME TO MY NEW WEBSITE!

It is hard to believe I finally have this site live.

The process started in May 2017 with an online course called Blogging for Creatives with the AMAZING Andrea Walford. It is a lot of work to put together your website, but it is worth it in the end. I may not have my site if it wasn’t for Andrea’s course. Andrea is an excellent instructor who is easy to follow and understand and explains what is needed to complete each class section. One aspect of the course that helped me was that I could finish at my own pace. We were starting a massive remodel of our home, and with all that was going on, it took me two years to complete the course. Before this, I had tried several different blogging platforms and soon got frustrated by the lack of individualism possible without hiring someone to create a blog identity for the type of site I envisioned. Thanks to Andrea, I finally have the knowledge to create a site that will get me started and allow me to improve it continually!

My goal for the site is to inspire you to create and share what you love with the world. It doesn’t matter what your crafting experience level is; if you can put ink to paper, then you are creating art that is worth sharing!

However, you found me, and I’m so glad you did! Sit back, relax, and take a look around. Enjoy!

Happy Stamping!
