Happy Monday! I hope you had a relaxing weekend before this busy Thanksgiving week that is ahead of us.

It is time for the next installment of my This Crafters Dream Color challenge! To play along, complete your project using the colors given in the weekly challenge and post your project to the comments over on my TCD Facebook Page using the hashtag #tcdcc4. I will randomly pick one winner each week and announce the winner on Fridays. Each winner will get the card I made for the color challenge that week and an additional surprise mailed to them. If you are not on Facebook, you can email me your card with #TCDCC4 in the subject, and I can post it for you so you can still play along.

 

#TCDCC4 - Color Swatches

This week’s Color Challenge Colors are Sea Side Spray, Early Espresso, Gray Granite, And Calypso Coral.

I thought these colors would make a great alternate color scheme for a Christmas card, and I think it turned out great, don’t you? I know there are some of us that are tired of using the traditional red & green colors to create holiday projects, and this new color palette is the perfect one for you to try.

For the card layout, I CASED it straight from page 72 of the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog. Yes, you can do that. One thing to remember about the Stampin’ Up!s catalogs is that they are not only our storefront but also a good tool for CASEing projects!

MY LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

Hello Everyone! I love, love, love this time of the year and all of the beautiful fall colors surrounding us. Sometimes the best place to find color combinations is by looking right outside of your window and see what Mother Nature has ready for you.  I have beautiful Fuchsia plants with their deep purple and muted red flowers, and behind them are trees with green and golden yellow leaves. So that is where I started my card I have for you today.

I used the Life Is Beautiful stamp set and  Blackberry Bliss, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce, and Early Espresso inks to create the stamped images. Don’t you love the birdhouse hanging in the tree? Such a sweet element to the stamp set.

A quick tip: If you take the inked leaf image and rotate it before you stamp this will help you end up with leaves looking more natural when using more than one color for leaves.

This was a fast card to put together, and it would be great to send family and friends for Thanksgiving this year.

The color challenge will be housed on my This Crafters Dream Facebook Page, so it is easier to share your projects. Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Just Jade, and Sahara Sand

Here is my project using the color challenge.

For my color challenge project, I used the Love Of Leaves Bundle and stamped one of the leaf images using Sahara Sand to create the background. I then stamped the different leaves in Just Jade, Crushed Cury, and Cajun Craze, and die-cut them out, and attached with liquid glue. For the sentiment strip, I took a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White and stamped Hello in all four colors and then, of course, added a bow made from Linen Thread!

I’M BACK!!!!

Nov 13, 2020

Hey everyone, I’m back. Long time no see. I have been an excellent patient for the last two months, doing everything my doctor and Physical Therapists have asked of me, and it has paid off. As of November 5th, I got the go-ahead to start putting weight on my left leg again!!!!! I still have a couple of months of rehab to get my leg back in shape, but I look forward to the hard work ahead of me.

This week I am working hard on putting together new projects to share with you starting next week. I will be going a little slow with posting a color challenge on Mondays and a blog post on Thursdays. As my leg allows, I will add my Mystery Challenge on Thursday.
