ENVELOPE GIFT BAG FOR THIS WEEKS TCD COLOR CHALLENGE #TCDCC12
It is time for the next installment of my TCD Color challenge! To play along, complete your project using the colors given in the weekly challenge and post your project to the comments over on my TCD Facebook Page using the hashtag #tcdcc12. I will randomly pick one winner each week and announce the winner on Fridays. Each winner will get the card I made for the color challenge that week and an additional surprise mailed to them. If you are not on Facebook, you can email me your card with #TCDCC12 in the subject, and I can post it for you so you can still play along.
This week’s Color Challenge colors are Crumb Cake, Rococo Rose, Just Jade, And Soft Suede
I love making bag-a-lopes or gift bags from envelopes! By making your own gift bags, you have the opportunity to coordinate your card with the gift bag, and you can make the gift bag whatever size you need! Pretty handy, right? Your score size will dictate the size of the gift bag. I created this gift bag using Stampin’ Up!s Medium Envelope, which is 5 3/4″ x 4 3/8″ and the project has a finished size of 2 7/8″ w x 4 3/4″ h x 1 1/2″ d, and I scored it at 3/4″ to achieve this. If you need more width for your bag, then you could do a smaller score of 1/2″, and your finished bag size will be 3 3/8 ” w x 5″ h x 1″ d. See how if you adjust your score size, you can have a larger or smaller bag size. Keep in mind that you can use any sized envelope to using this technique. I have created bags using a large 9″ x 12″ white mailing envelope as well.
