THE RETIRED LIST IS HERE

03-23-21_header_last-chance_na

It’s here, the day I love and hate, the release of the Retired List. What is the Retired List? It is the list of items Stampin’ Up! is retiring from the 2020-2021 Annual to make way for new products, and some of the retiring products on the list are deeply discounted!

Keep in mind all items are available through May 3rd while supplies last, except stamp sets. They will be guaranteed through the last week of April. That means, if you have an item on your wish list and you find it on the Last Chance List, I would order it now. It may not be there tomorrow. Every year I have customers that say they didn’t order something fast enough, and now it is gone.

The easiest way to see all the products still available to go directly to my online store. You can click HERE to see all the products that are retiring.

If you want a PDF printout of all the retiring products, you can click HERE to get a copy.

Of course, if you have any questions, please reach out, and I will get them answered for you.

Happy Stamping!

WELCOME TO MAN CARD MONDAYS

Welcome to my new weekly series Man Card Mondays! Do you struggle with coming up with masculine card ideas? Well, if you said yes, then you are not alone. Last week while I was looking at the analytics on my blog, I noticed quite a few people are looking at my masculine projects. That got me thinking that I should start a weekly series for all masculine ideas. And now we have Man Card Mondays!

Rooted In Nature Stampin Up_Man Card Monday_LoriSkinnerThis Crafters Dream_alt1

For this very first installment on Man Card Monday, I am using the ever so popular Rooted In Nature Stamp Set & Matching Nature’s Roots Dies set from Stampin’ Up!. I started with a Crumb Cake 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base that I scored at 5 1/2″ and folded in half to create a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ cardbase. I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Crumb Cake layer that I stamped the leaf pattern using Crumb Cake ink. I then added a 2″ x 5″ Early Espresso Designer Series Paper layer.

I stamped the oak tree in Early Espresso & Old Olive Inks, and die cut it using my Mini Stamping Cut & Emboss Machine.  To create the wooden stump, I used my Stamparatus, Crumb Cake Ink, Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker & Early Espresso Inks, then cut it out using my paper snips. Stamp the sentiment, BE HAPPY, BE YOU, BE STRONG three times, once in Early Espresso, then Crumb Cake, and lastly in Old Olive. Cut each sentiment part using scissors. Once you have all the elements stamped, die-cut, and cut out, then glue down the tree stump. Wrap Linen Thread around the card three times and tie a bow. Add the die-cut oak tree using Stampin Dimensionals, and lastly, add the sentiment using one from each color using Mini Stampin Dimensionals.

To see more detail on how I created this card, you can watch the video tutorial below.

Now don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope. I used the same leaf image as I did for the background and stamped it several times using Old Olive ink.  I like to say friends don’t let friends mail necked envelopes, so ALWAYS stamp your envelopes!

I hope you have enjoyed this first episode of Man Card Mondays, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you won’t miss any of my videos. Until next time.

Happy Stamping!

BUTTERFLIES GALORE FOR #TCDCC17

Hey Everyone, I’m Back! Sorry for last week, but my neck was out, and I was down for the count for a few days. I am all better and ready to go! This week I have Butterflies galore on my project for the next installment of my This Crafters Dream Color challenge. I used the must-have Butterfly Bijou Designer Series paper to create this spring-inspired card.

To play along, complete your project using the colors given in the weekly challenge and post your project to the comments over on my TCD Facebook Page using the hashtag #tcdcc17. I will randomly pick one winner each week and announce the winner on Sunday. Each winner will get the card I made for the color challenge that week and an additional surprise mailed to them. If you are not on Facebook, you can email me your card with #TCDCC17 in the subject, and I can post it for you so you can still play along.

TCDCC17 - Color Challenge Swatches

This week’s Color Challenge colors are So Saffron, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight.

Butterfly Brilliance Bundle_#TCDCC17_TCD Color Challenge_Butterflies Galore_alt2

These cards are super fast to make. I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Just Jade cardbase that is scored at 5 1/2″. I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Just Jade cardstock layer that was dry embossed using the  Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. To that, I added a DSP layer of 4″ x 2 1/4″. Die-cut your butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper using the Brillant Wings Dies and add two to the card. Stamp your sentiment using Magenta Madness ink, then add a Linen Thread bow.

You can watch the video below to see how I put this card together.

Quick tip, you can make a stack of these cards and leave off the sentiment until the need arises. Then stamp the sentiment and add it to the card, and you have cards on demand!

Now it’s your turn to play along with this week’s Color Challenge.  Create your masterpiece using these colors and post your card to the comments of my #TCDCC17 post on my TCD Facebook Page. Sunday, I will randomly pick a winner and mail my card as a thank you for playing along.

Happy Stamping!
