LOYAL LEAVES CARD

Hello, and welcome back! Today I am sharing a versatile card I made using the retiring Loyal Leaves Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!. This card can be used for several different occasions. That’s what I love about the images in this Loyal Leaves Stamp Set! It is so sad that this stamp set was is the retiring list frown. It is such a great stamp set and will be missed dearly.

While I was coming up with the concept for this card, I decided I wanted to make an ombre effect, but using the stamp artwork and not blending bushes like usual.  I am delighted with the outcome, aren’t you? I started with Night Of Navy Ink, then I stamped Pretty Peacock, Just Jade, and finished up with Bermuda Bay. Can you see how the colors overlap each other? It created a charming combination of colors!

Don’t you love this sentiment? “You are my HERO” can be used for several different occasions. Birthday, Anniversary, Thinking of You, and the list goes on. That is what I love about this Loyal Leaves Stamp Set! I stamped the sentiment using Night Of Navy ink. Then I flicked some DK Soft Suede ink over the leaves using my Stampin’ Blend before I assembled the card. If you have never done this technique, you can watch the video below to see how I did it and how I completed the Loyal Leaves Card.

Now that you have watched the video, you can see how easy it is to add a little additional color to your cards with just a little flick from your Stampin’ Write Markers, Stampin’ Blends, or try Wink Of Stella, which is my favorite!

ENJOY THE MOMENT BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello, my fellow crafter, and welcome back! Today I am sharing a birthday card I made using the Enjoy The Moment Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!. 

This will be a speedy card for you to try. I needed a quick one since me and the hubby are on our way out the door to get some much-needed R & R over at the coast for a couple of days.

First, you will need to create a mask for adding the Pear Pizzazz ink. I used a window sheet and cut the center out of it to create my template. You can also use some Post-it Tape along the cardstock’s edge to mask off the center area. Then I grabbed my blending brush and the Pear Pizzazz ink and bushed on the ink until I was happy with the effect. Make sure you start off the paper when you are applying the ink, or you will end up with a harsh edge in your ink.

After I finished adding the color to the center of the cardstock, I stamped the seed pod image using Soft Suede ink onto the Pear Pizzazz center. Then without reinking the stamp, I stamped the image two more times around the bottom edges. Re-load the stamp with the Soft Suede ink, stamp off the image once on scrap paper, and then stamp it two more times.  You can watch the video below to see how I finished the card. WHALE DONE FOR MAN CARD MONDAY

Welcome back! This week on Man Card Monday, I am using the super fun Whale Done Stamp Set & Matching Whale of A Time Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up to create my card.

This card is super fast to put together. Start with a piece of 4 ¼” x 11” of Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5 ½” and folded over to make our card base. Next, glue a 4” x 5 ¼”  piece of Whale Of a Time Designer Series Paper that is Calypso Coral with a fish scale pattern to the center of the Calypso Coral card front. Next, I added a piece of 3 ½” x 4 ¼” Whale Of A Time Designer Series Paper with the school of fish to the center of the Calypso Coral DSP using dimensionals.

Using your paper snips, cut out one of the sea turtles from the Whale Of A Time Designer Series Paper and add him to the top left corner using Stampin Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I stamped it twice, once in Calypso Coral, then in Pacific Point onto a 1/2″ strip of Basic White. I cut out the word Love & Ocean from the Pacific Point sentiment and added it over the top of the Calypso Coral words using Mini Stampin Dimensionals. Cut the ends of the sentiment strip at an angle and add to the card base using Stampin Dimensionals.

Lastly, add a Linen Thread bow, and you are done. Now, you have a perfect card for showing someone how much you love them!

See how fast it was to put that card together. I think it took twice as long to explain how to make the card, LOL!
