Hey everyone, I hope all is well in your world today. In mine, my baby girl Ciara has been under the weather a few days. As a mama, one of the hardest things to deal with is when you can’t fix your kids by waving your magic wand, especially since Ciara is in San Antonio, TX, and I am in California. So since I can’t be there to take care of her, I set up a delivery of all her favorite foods and drinks to help her heal faster, and I made her a card to put a smile on her beautiful face.
This picture is in our campsite in Ruidoso, NM, in June, when the hubby and I drove our motorhome out there so we could meet up with Ciara since we did not want her to get on a plane right now. It sure was nice to hang out with her and play games all week!
For Ciara’s card, I started with the Flowers For Every Season DSP as my inspiration. You know how much I love to cut up a sheet of DSP that has a large floral pattern to use on a card! And this paper has just that! So I started by cutting out all of the floral bouquets on the whole 6″ x 6″ sheet of paper (now I will have more flowers to play with). I pulled the color combination for the card straight from the DSP, which are Whisper White, Magenta Madness, and Just Jade. I paired the color combo up with the Many Mates Bundle. I thought the large die looks like a lattice that would have roses climbing up them, so it would be perfect.
I die-cut the large lattice die in a piece of Just Jade DSP, the decorative strip in Magenta Madness. I then cut out a tag in Whisper White using the Tasteful Label Dies for the sentiment. Before I glued down the lattice die-cut, I wrapped a piece of Polka Dot Tuile Ribbon around the white cardbase layer. To finish off the card, I added my new favorite accessory, Elegant Faceted Gems!
