Hello my friends, and welcome back! Today I am sharing this It’s Your Day! card I made using the Happiest Of Birthday Stamp Set, and Basic Borders & Tailor Made Dies from Stampin’ Up! for my Man Card Monday. Doesn’t this card make you think of Charlie Brown’s shirt, just different colors?
I have had this card in my head ever since I notice the zig-zag die from the Basic Borders Dies. I die-cut several zig-zag cardstock strips in various widths using Night Of Navy, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray. After I had my die-cut pieces ready, I glued the strips down to a piece of Night Of Navy cardstock that barely wide enough to fit the sic zig-zag strips. I then dry embossed a Night Of Navy cardstock layer using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Then I glued the embossed Night Of Navy to a Basic Gray cardstock layer. (all the dimensions can be located on the project sheet link below).
After I added the embossed layers to the cardbase using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I glued the zig-zag piece to the embossed Night Of Navy layer. I die-cut the largest scalloped top die using the Well Suited Designers Series Paper to make the tag layers. Then I die-cut the second largest die size in Basic White. I stamped the It’s Your Day! Sentiment in Night Of Navy ink onto the Basic White die-cut tag. Adhere the tags to the card front using dimensional. I took four 8″ pieces of the Night Of Navy & Basic Gray Twine, two pieces of each color, and tied a bow. Attach the bow using a Mini Glue Dot. and you are done!
This card layout can be used in so many different ways, you could do all pinks for a girl, school colors for graduation, a rainbow effect, or the colors of your favorite sports team. The possibilities are endless!
