Hey Everyone! It is time for the next installment of my This Crafters Dream Color challenge #tcdcc14! This week I am working with the beautiful Dragonfly Garden Bundle from Stampin’ Up!
To play along, complete your project using the colors given in the weekly challenge and post your project to the comments over on my TCD Facebook Page using the hashtag #tcdcc14. I will randomly pick one winner each week on Sunday. Each winner will get the card I made for the color challenge that week and an additional surprise mailed to them. If you are not on Facebook, you can email me your card with #TCDCC14 in the subject, and I can post it for you so you can still play along.
This week’s Color Challenge colors are Crumb Cake (my favorite color, it goes with everything!!!), Soft Sea Foam, Rich Razzleberry, and Basic Black.
I haven’t played with this Dragonfly Garden Bundle very much, so I thought I would use it for this week’s color challenge. I liked how the flowers in the background have a subtle look and are not too bold. I stamped the flower stalks using the Crumb Cake Ink to create this soft look, then colored them in using a Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Write Marker for the leaves. The flowers I colored in using a Rich Razzleberry Water Color Pencil. I am not sure if you can see it very well in this picture. Still, After I colored the dragonfly using the same Soft Sea Foam marker and Rich Razzleberry Water Color Pencil, I added a layer of Wink Of Stella to replicate the shimmery wings of a dragonfly. I won’t go into too much detail on cardstock dimensions or other details in this post.
