Hey Everyone! It is time for the next installment of my This Crafters Dream Color challenge! To play along, complete your project using the colors given in the weekly challenge and post your project to the comments over on my TCD Facebook Page using the hashtag #tcdcc11. I will randomly pick one winner each week and announce the winner on Fridays. Each winner will get the card I made for the color challenge that week and an additional surprise mailed to them. If you are not on Facebook, you can email me your card with #TCDCC11 in the subject, and I can post it for you so you can still play along.
This week’s Color Challenge colors are Terracotta Tile, So Saffron, And Soft Suede
I am in love with this Stamp set! These Darling Donkeys from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog are too stinking cute. Those faces, I knew I had to use this cute donkey with the rose in his mouth for a Valentine-themed card and thought a nontraditional color scheme would be fun. To color the donkey, I used the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I outlined the donkey with the Dark Soft Suede blend first. Then I went over that edge with the Light Soft Suede blend. To blend the two colors, I used the color lifter to gently pull a little bit of the colors towards the center of the image for a softer look. Give this method a try on your next project. I like the subtle hint of the color on the outside edge of the image.
