Welcome back, everyone! Today I have a card I made using the latest craze in papercrafting the “Slim Card” layout. I do believe I like the size of the card. The finished card dimensions are 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″, which gives you plenty of room to create with!
I wanted to use my Loyal Leaves Stamp Set for this card. If you don’t have Loyal Leaves, you could use the new Love Of Leaves Bundle as an alternative. I started with a Crumb Cake cardbase and added a layer of Cajun Craze. When I stamped my leaves onto the Whisper White cardstock, I started with the middle leaf, then stamped the two leaves on the end. Then to make the leave look like they are in the foreground, I stamped off the Cajun Craze ink once before stamping. Now you have just a slightly lighter shade of Cajun Craze leaves that make the other three leaves stand out a little bit more!
I stamped the sentiment using Crushed Curry ink on Crushed Curry cardstock to finish the card. Then I punched the edge out on both the sentiment layer and the Plaid Tidings DSP using the Banner Triple Punch and glued them together. After I glued them down to the stamped image, I added a Metallic Copper bow and a Linen Thread bow. When I need to adhere a small bow like these to my projects, I use a mini glue dot that I roll up to make it smaller. You can use your Take Your Pick Tool for this.
