Hello, my friends! Today is all about this beautiful fall card I am sharing using the Hello Harvest Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! I bet you are wondering how I created the multi-colored leaves on this, aren’t you? I used the uber-fun Baby Wipe technique. If you have no clue what I am talking about, then hold on to your hats, and I will explain how I do it below.

Hello Harvest

To start this card:

I glued a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Crushed Curry patterned DSP from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper package to the center of a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (scored at 4 1/4″) Crushed Curry cardbase.

Stamp one pumpkin image from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set onto a 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Crumb Cake ink and die-cut it using the Rustic Pumpkins coordinating dies and your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine or, as I like to call it, The Big Boss!

Stamp three sunflowers images from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set onto a 1″ x 3″ strip of Basic White cardstock using Crush Curry ink and die-cut using The Big Boss. I colored my sunflowers using a Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze Watercolor Pencil.

Stamp your “HELLO” sentiment from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set using Merry Merlot ink on the left edge of the 3″ x 7/8″ strip of Basic White cardstock. Use your Paper Snips and cut a banner edge to the left edge of the sentiment layer.

TIP:

The easiest way to make sure your banner edge is even is to measure where the center height of your cardstock and mark it lightly with a pencil mark. Then take your paper snip and cut up on that center line to the desired depth of the banner edge. Then cut from each corner to the center of your cut point, and you will have a perfectly even banner edge!

Next, I will show you how to create beautiful fall leaves using the Baby Wipe technique!

Hello Harvest,

Baby Wipe Technique:

You won’t believe how easy this Baby Wipe technique is.

Start by folding a baby wipe in quarters. Place the folded baby wipe on a plastic plate or your Silicone Craft Sheet.

Now for the fun part, gather the re-inker colors you would like to use. For this Hello Harvest Fall Card, I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Merry Merlot.

Starting with your lightest color, Crushed Curry. Start dropping a few drops of ink onto the baby wipe. Don’t cover it completely you have several more colors to add.

Continue adding a few ink drops of each of the remaining colors. You can fill in any blank spots as needed.

Now your “ink pad” is complete, start stamping your images by taping the stamp image onto the baby wipe and stamping directly onto your cardstock.

TIP:

I like to clean my stamp after stamping the image each time so the color doesn’t get muddy when stamping multiple images.

Hello Harvest,

Once I completed my Baby Wipe technique background, I could finish putting the card together.

I glued the fall leaf patterned cardstock in made to a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and glued those layers to the center of the Crushed Curry card base.

Glue a 4 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ strip of Merry Merlot cardstock towards the bottom of the cardbase.

Attach the die-cut Crumb Cake pumpkin to the right side of the Merry Merlot strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Glue down two colored die-cut sunflowers and add the third one using Stampin Dimensionals.

I made a triple bow with my Linen Thread and added it to the pumpkin stem using a Mini Glue Dot.

And lastly, to complete my beautiful fall card, I added some glue to the right edge of the “HELLO” sentiment and tucked it under the edge of the die-cut pumpkin.

Isn’t the Baby Wipe Technique excellent!!! It is so versatile for any project you are working on. I had a lot of fun creating projects with this Hello Harvest stamp set and Rustic Pumpkin coordinating dies! This is a must-have bundle in my book.
