Over the next couple of weeks, I will post several Halloween projects I have been working on. This first one uses the Monster Bash Suite of products. Stampin’ Up! has done it again by making it easy to create projects using the Monster Bash DSP. You have several sheets of DSP that you can fussy cut or die-cut images using the matching Ornate Frame Dies and then add to projects with minimal stamping. I chose to stamp the vampire in this card instead of using one of the printed images in the DSP. I did cut an image from DSP for the inside of the card.

Cardstock Sizes:
8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Pumpkin Pie scored at 4 1/4″
4″ x 5 1/4″ Monster Bash DSP
1″ x 4″ for embossed layer & 3 1/2″ x 2″ for Ornate Die, Basic Black
3″ x 1 1/4″ Mercury Glass Designer Acetate

Glue down the DSP to the card base.

Emboss the 1″ x 4″ Basic Black cardstock using the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder and glue down on the DSP layer. Cut a 4″ piece of the Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon and, using Glue Dots, adhere to the center of the Basic Black embossed layer.

Stamp the Vampire in Tuxedo Back Memento Black ink. Using a rag, wipe off the black ink from the outside frame edge, then color the frame with the Pumpkin Pie marker. Huff on the ink before stamping to remoisten the ink that may have started to dry while coloring the frame.

Next, die cut the following three items: the stamped image with the matching die, Basic Black 3 1/2″ x 2″ with the large ornate frame, and the 3″ x 1 1/4″ Mercury Glass Designer Acetate using the 2 3/4″ x 7/8″ frame.

Glue the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate piece to the Basic Black large ornate frame. Using dimensionals, attach the vampire to the center of the die-cut layers. Wrap your linen thread around your fingers three times and cut off the spool. Use glue dots attached to the back side of the die-cut layers, then attach them to the card base with dimensionals.

Inside Card Layer:

Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Cut a bottle from the Monster Bash DSP and glue it to the sentiment. Glue cardstock to the inside of the card base.

As I said earlier, I will post several Halloween projects over the next couple of weeks, so check back in and see what else I have for you.

Until next time.

Happy Stamping!
