Happy Tuesday, everyone! Don’t you just love this birthday treat box? I sure do, and you too can make one of these cute treat holders using the Little Treat Bundle, located on page 70 of the Stampin Up! Aug – Dec Mini Catalog. Â
To make the treat box, I die-cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock using the treat box die. The die makes your work so easy, and you don’t have to do any cutting or scoring, it is all done for you! All you have to do is glue the box together. I stamped the candy image from the Little Treat Stamp Set front and back flaps using Calypso Coral ink. Then, I glue the box together and added a strip of DSP on the side panels.
The present is colored using Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, And Night Of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers (you can also use your ink pads and blender pens if you don’t have the Stampin’ Write Markers). I used my Stamparatus so I could recolor the stamp as needed to achieve the full-color coverage I wanted since I was using markers. Sometime when you are coloring stamps with markers, the image will look streaky when you stamp the image. If you use the Stamparatus, you can reink the stamp as many times as needed until you are satisfied with the results.
Once I had my present colored and die-cut, I attached it to a scalloped circle die-cut from the same die set and punched a 1 1/2″ circle from the Playing With Patterns DSP. The sentiment was stamped using Night Of Navy ink and attached with a dimensional. To finish off the treat box, I added a piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and tied a bow.
The finished interior box size is 1 7/8″ x 3/4″Â a little too small for a gift card, but money always fits. I added a piece of candy to mine as well. The possibilities are endless when using this Little Treats Bundle. I already have a Wedding and Christmas Treat box I am playing with that I will share with you all soon. I think I will be having a lot of fun with this one.
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and see what kind of creative escapades I have been up to. Until next time!
Happy StampingÂ
