Today I have a card I created for the SU Color Challenge. The Su Color Challenge is hosted on a private Facebook group that anyone can join. This month the color challenge is to use Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point in a card. Here is the card I am showcasing for the January Challenge.
I am in love with this card. It’s beautiful! I started with a Pacific Point cardbase, which I scored at 4 1/4″, and set aside. Die-cut a piece of 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green cardstock using the Best Plaid Builder Dies and stick them to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Pacific Point cardstock layer, gluing the Daffodil Delight piece first, then the Granny Apple Green lattice on top. I attached these layers to the cardbase using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To decorate the die-cut layers, I used the Berry Blessings Stamp Set, one of the products you can earn for free during the Sale-a-bration promotion through Feb 28, 2021. I stamped my images on Basic White cardstock using Pacific Point ink for 10 blueberry clusters, Granny Apple Green ink for 3 blueberry leaves, 3 raspberry leaves, and Coastal Cabana ink for 3 small flowers that were punched out using the Strawberry Builder Punch. The rest of the stamped images are fussy cut using my paper snips. When cutting out images, remember to move the paper you are cutting with the opposite hand you hold the scissors in. This will help you have a cleaner cut image. Once everything is cut out, start layering and gluing everything to a 3″ x 3″ piece of Basic White cardstock. I started with the blueberry leaves first, then built the layers up. Once you are happy with your layout, you can glue the 3″ x 3″ layers to the die-cut cardbase. Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Pacific Point ink and punch out using the Tailored Tag punch. Adhere the punched piece to the right side of the blueberry layer. Add a punched flower and a couple of blueberries to the sentiment. And the last thing to do is to add a Linen Thread bow and Elegant Faceted Gems to the center of the flowers, and now you are done!
