Welcome back! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was so quiet I had to think hard to remember what we did, lol! I guess that is a good thing. That’s enough of my boring weekend. Now on to crafting. In honor of St Patrick’s Day this week, I thought I would make an all green card using the Artfully Layered stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.

Flowing Flowers Stampin Up

To create the stamped layer, I stamped the large foliage stamp image onto the Basic White cardstock using the Evening Evergreen, Just Jade, and Mint Macaron inks. Add the completed stamped layer to the Mint Macaron and Evening Evergreen card base layers.

I stamped the same large foliage stamp onto the Just Jade cardstock, and then I heat embossed the sentiment using Black Embossing Powder.

The most “time-consuming” part of this card was creating the tassel. I found it very relaxing, so I made a few of them while I was at it. Here is how I made them.

  • Start by wrapping twine around a piece of cardboard about the size you want your tassel to be. Mine is 1 ¾”, and I wrapped the twine 10 times around the cardboard.
  • Secure one end by gathering all the loops in a snug knot tied with a separate piece of twine. Don’t worry about cutting the ends of that gathering piece yet.
  • Slide the tassel off the card and cut the looped ends. Now fold the tassel over the other way, so the gathering knot is inside.
  • Smooth the twine strands at the top closely, then wrap several strands of thread around the upper portion of the tassel to band it together, keeping a long tail at the beginning end. Tie the two ends, twine in a double knot and hide the knot under the wrapped twine.
  • Trim the ends of the tassel to your liking.
Artfully Layered

Once you are done with your card, don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card and envelope. I like to say. Friends don’t let friends send naked envelopes. laughing  I have a few more cards I created using the Artfully Composed Suite I will be sharing over the next couple of weeks. This suite turned out to be a lot of fun to play with!
